CWU Organizes 11th 'Date with a President' Roundtable

China Women's University (CWU) organized a discussion on the theme of "Face to Face, Grow with the Young"—the 11th in its series of "Date with a President" roundtable events—at the university on May 26.

Professor Li Mingshun, the Chairperson of the University Council, was invited to speak, whilst 10 students of different majors or schools also took part.

The talk lasted about 90 minutes.

During the talk, Li answered some key questions raised by students, such as how a platform for students' exchange could work even if there are many students specializing in different disciplines, and the current climate in relation to employment and start-ups.

Furthermore, Li also explained how to organize time properly, and discussed the issues of gender equality and domestic violence. Li spoke with students about the national post-graduate entrance exam. He also gave some instructions and told them the way to improve their career choices whilst combining the social status quo of the university's policies. He discussed the development of CWU with respect to students' career planning.

Li emphasized that students needed to take full advantage of various resources offered by CWU. He hoped that students could lead a happy life through hard work and socially-beneficial practices whilst integrating individual ideals within the development of CWU, in order to achieve a win-win situation.
Later, students offered their own opinions and suggestions about how to improve the school's management and other related topics.

Li expressed his satisfaction with students' efforts and said he appreciated their enthusiasm for engaging in pioneering work and social practice. In the end, Li spoke highly of students' preparations for future life and hoped that students could embrace a bright future and make joint efforts to build a better CWU, whilst taking an optimistic and confident attitude.
