Chinese and US negotiators on Sunday wrapped up the latest round of trade talks between the world's top two economies with substantial progress on specific issues, the Xinhua News Agency reported. During the talks in Washington from February 21 to 24, the two sides further implemented the consensus reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump during their meeting in December in Argentina.

President Trump tweeted Monday morning Beijing time that "I will be delaying the US increase in tariffs now scheduled for March 1." His tweet also noted substantial progress made in trade talks.
