In June 2012, four members of RCTS visited the School of Foreign Languages in Hebei Normal University to investigate “the discipline construction of bachelor’s degree and the construction of Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) program”.
In July 2012, three members of RCTS made a trip to Mount Lu, a renowned tourist attraction in Jiangxi province, for a field study of the translations in the signs, placards and billboards there.
In July 2015, two members of RCTS attended and submitted research papers to the “2015 Northeast Asia International Symposium on Linguistics, Literature and Teaching” held at Yanbian University, Jilin Province. This was followed by a field trip to Hunchun Port and Quanhe Port in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. They then visited Guo Shuhan, an English major who graduated from CWU in 2014, and now works as a full-time interpreter for the Changchun Gold Design Institute.
